After many years at the heart of the laboratory, Chris Hood and Gareth Bray have taken ownership of Bosham Dental Lab. This isn’t a dramatic change of direction — it’s a natural continuation of the values the lab has always stood for: craftsmanship, patience, precision and a genuine respect for the people we work with.
For those who know Chris and Gareth, this step feels right. Their understanding of the craft runs deep, and their connection to the lab is personal. They’ve shaped its character for years; now, they’re shaping its future.
Chris brings a balance of traditional craft and digital innovation. Qualifying in 2004, he has a long-standing talent for complex restorations and has helped push the lab’s digital capabilities forward. Outside the lab, he’s a dedicated family man and a passionate cyclist — his focus and patience carry into every case he works on.
Also qualifying in 2004, Gareth has built a reputation as one of the country’s most skilled ceramists — not through noise or ego, but through quiet dedication. He’s the kind of maker who notices the small things: the way light moves through enamel, the softness of a shade transition, the subtlety that gives a smile its natural warmth.
For more than 40 years, Bosham has been shaped by a team of highly experienced dental technicians who care deeply about their work. Their skill spans both digital innovation and traditional analogue techniques — a combination that allows us to move with the industry while staying true to the craft.
Renowned for their attention to detail and consistent results, they bring clarity and confidence to even the most complex cases. It’s their hands, their experience and their quiet dedication that give Bosham its reputation for restorations that feel natural, reliable and beautifully made.
Chris and Gareth share a simple belief: dentistry works best when the craft behind it is done with care — not rushed, not forced, but made with intention.

Mark is an excellent Crown & Bridge technician, multi-skilled and a joy to have in the lab. He loves being a dental technician, but possibly loves his car and football more! We can always rely on Mark and when he does take well deserved time off, the rest of us are a little thrown without his calming presence.
Liana has excelled as a dental technician with us since we supported her through completing her Dental Technology degree. She is a key part of our CAD CAM team and has a natural flair for designing cases. She has a great future ahead of her and is a well-loved member of the team. Liana’s lovely Golden Retriever Bailey is a regular and much needed presence in the lab too!
Polly is one of our ceramists and is responsible for finishing cases in the lab as well as being one of the team members patients will see if they attend for a shade match. Having previously worked as a dental nurse, Polly went on to qualify as a Dental Technician and is now able to be more creative within the dental industry, using her artistic flair to help us create natural looking restorations. Outside of work Polly is into her fitness, dog walks and is a keen skier.
Cathie is our well-experienced receptionist, responsible for managing both our patients and all the work that comes through the lab. With over 35 years’ experience in dentistry, she is always on hand on the phones to help solve any issues. Outside of work, Cathie enjoys sea swimming (all year round!) and is a veteran of more than 60 fire walks – we think she’s nuts too!
Jamie joined us as one of the model room team after previously working on upcycling furniture. He has since progressed to working within the prosthetics department alongside his studying of Dental Technology at Cardiff met. With a creative eye, Jamie is coming on leaps and bounds. He has a Jack Russell called Alfie, is a keen gardener and loves home interiors.
Beth has always had an interest in dentistry and joins us excited to learn all the foundations of the trade. Since starting with us Beth has already passed her first two years of study at Cardiff with flying colours and we can’t wait to see how she continues to develop as a technician. She is artistic and having previously trained in floristry she enjoys doing this alongside her work here at the lab.
Sarah is one of our reliable driving team, ensuring work gets safely out to all our practices. A dog-lover, with four of her own, and a keen up-cycler, Sarah can often be found mooching around car boots sales for her next project.
Russ is our cool, calm and collected driver. Outside of work, he is a footie fanatic (although less so when Arsenal are losing) and a keen pool player. Russ loves getting away on holiday with his family and grandchildren whenever possible.

Wanda came to us looking to slow down the pace after years of work in the court service. Outside of work she is a dog lover and enjoys trips away with her family, especially if it involves a spa or the theatre.
